Tasker questions answered
Do I really pay nothing to use Taskvault?
Correct. Taskvault charges clients a 5% escrow fee on completion — not taskers. You keep every dollar your clients pay for your work. There are no lead fees, no monthly subscription, and no per-job platform cuts.
How quickly do I receive payment after a job?
Once the client confirms the job is complete, the funds are released from escrow and transferred to you directly. Processing time depends on your payment method, but most taskers see funds within 1–3 business days.
What if a client refuses to release payment?
If a client does not confirm completion within a reasonable timeframe after the job is done, you can request a review. Our team steps in, reviews evidence from both sides, and resolves the dispute fairly — legitimate work gets paid.
Can I set my own rates and availability?
Yes, fully. You quote what you want for each job, set your own hours, and choose which jobs to apply for. There are no minimum commitments and no penalties for being selective.
Do I need to be a registered business?
No. Taskvault is built for individual service providers — whether you are a weekend handyman, a professional cleaner, or a skilled tradesperson. You handle your own taxes as an independent contractor.
What types of jobs can I offer?
Any local service you can perform in person: lawn care, cleaning, moving, handyman work, painting, snow removal, and much more. If it is a task someone in your community needs done, you can offer it.
