Pricing questions, answered

Why does Taskvault charge clients instead of taskers?

Most platforms charge taskers because taskers have no leverage — they need the leads and will pay. We think that's backwards. Taskers are the product. When they earn more, they do better work and stay on the platform. We charge clients because they're receiving value (a completed task), and a flat 7% is easy to understand and budget for.

Is the 7% applied to the whole job amount?

Yes. When you post a task and fund the escrow, 7% of the agreed job total is added. So a $300 job costs $321 total. The escrow holds all $300 and releases it to the tasker upon your confirmation — Taskvault's $21 is collected at the time you fund.

What if I'm not satisfied with the work?

Payment only releases when you confirm the job is done to your satisfaction. If there's a dispute, our resolution team reviews the case. Depending on the outcome, funds can be held, partially released, or returned to you. The escrow means your money is never at risk the way it would be with a cash payment or e-transfer.

Are there any other fees I should know about?

No. No posting fees, no membership, no subscription, no featured listing charges. The 7% escrow fee for clients and 0% for taskers is the complete picture. If we ever change our fee structure, existing users will be notified with at least 30 days' notice.

How does payment processing work?

Taskvault uses secure, industry-standard payment processing. When you fund an escrow, your payment is held by the platform — not the tasker — until you release it. Taskers receive funds directly to their bank account or preferred payment method after you confirm completion.

I'm a tasker — can I pass the fee to my clients?

The client escrow fee is separate from your quoted price. You quote the amount you want to be paid, the client sees that amount plus the 7% platform fee. You receive your full quoted amount. You never need to adjust your pricing to account for platform cuts — what you charge is what you get.
